Thank you for your interest in piano instruction in Edgewood, Moriarty, and the East Mountains. My approach to piano instruction is to teach with great care, patience, and praise for each student.
About Group Piano Lessons
1. A positive setting in which students learn and develop musical skills together.
2. Music theory and ear training that complement the group's skill and interest level.

Policies Regarding Lesson-time
Group lessons will be held beginning in January 2018 at Estancia Valley Classical Academy.
When: Mondays from 4:30-5:00pm
Location: EVCA Music Room
*I do not allow parents or siblings to stay in the room during lessons. This is to give each student the ability to fully concentrate without distractions.

Fees
The fees listed below include:

Weekly 30 minute lessons
$40/month for 5+ students

Nonrefundable payment is made monthly, due on the first lesson of each month.
Lessons are taught with the Alfred's Basic Piano Library series.
There will be a $5 late fee per child if payment is made after the first lesson of the month.
Checks should be made payable to Melissa Flaming.
Lessons will not be pro-rated for any reason.
The ONLY exception will be notification of day(s) to be missed prior to the beginning of that month.
Please understand that this policy will be strictly enforced.

• Commit to regular practice for as long as you need to reach your goals.
• Bring assignment sheet and all music for the week’s assignment
• Follow all directions and complete each week's assignment.
• Please ask questions when you don’t understand.
• Come to lessons with a positive attitude to learn and be ready to have fun!

Parent Responsibilities
Praise and encouragement are your greatest tools in helping your children succeed in piano lessons.
• Provide a quiet and undisturbed time for practice.
• Assist your child in making and keeping a regular practice schedule.
• Provide support and encouragement
• Ensure your child attends each lesson to keep up with current lessons as a group.
• Read and uphold all Studio Policies
• Pay for lessons and music books by the first lesson of each month.
By enrolling in group piano lessons, students and parents are agreeing to abide by these policies.

Missed Lessons
Payments for lessons on a week-to-week basis are not accepted.
Due to the nature of Group Lessons, make-up lessons will not be offered.
There are no refunds for missed lessons.

Holidays
Lessons will not be held on days when EVCA is not in session.
The monthly fee will be adjusted accordingly.
